This is the second Stave, or "chapter" of a Christmas Carol, in which Scrooge encounters the Ghost of Christmas Past. As I read this, carefully for the first time in years, it becomes obvious just what an incredible genius Dickens was, in terms of observing and writing about the human state. He was equal to Shakespeare, Tolstoy, or Rand.

This is episode 84 of the Trailer Trash Terrors podcast. Tonight I interview Father Michael Birdsong, Pastor of Saint Michael and All Angels Church in Thomaston, Georgia. Father Birdsong is an exorcist; a real exorcist. He's talking about the sometimes horrific details of exorcism in other podcasts. But for this episode I wanted to talk to him about the man he is, the life experiences that led him to the point that he could assume the role of exorcist. That's an even more fascinating story.

I truly screwed up on the audio on my track, accidentally recording it with a laptop computer microphone, rather than a professional recording chain. Please forgive the faux-pas. It will not be repeated.
