Jody's wise friend Denny once said to her, “when God wants to teach us something, He sends us on vacation”. What is it about vacations that are so special - they capture our imagination and help us see and experience things like never before? And whether a vacation away or a “staycation” at home; how can we create magical, memorable moments that last a lifetime. Mary and Jody share the best and worst vacation stories with some interesting “TrailMix” to dissect and discuss.
"Work" - we like to complain about it, we count the days until we are done with it, and often it has a bad rap. Work doesn’t always mean your occupation or where you get your salary. And for sure it is NOT true that the sum total of “you” is what you do. Let’s dig in a little and think about “good” work and what that can feel like deep down inside.
Okay Trailmix friends…let’s go to work!!!
“Disney” is one of those words, places, and companies that you mention and everyone wants to tell or learn about a “secret” that no one knows. What are some Disney secrets? How is Disney so successful? How do they do what they do and you don’t see what’s behind the curtain? Let’s dig in and unwrap just a little of the surprise and delight, but don’t worry we won’t spoil any of the Disney magic.
We usually talk about how it isn’t a good idea to live in the past with regrets. But today we are going to dedicate the podcast to the “art” of the well-played do-over, or in golf terms, the Mulligan. What a life-hack to learn how to call it out and start again. This chat is a permission giver for a new way of thinking about our ability to give ourselves and others a break, and maybe even a bonus round.
Well podcast friends, you asked for it and here they are… our guys! We asked them if they would join us for a podcast and they both said YES. You will hear some things you may know, and you will hear some other “tidbits” that might surprise you! Enjoy some trailmix and this special episode... “meet the Misters”.
In this podcast Jody confronts her dislike of Valentine’s Day and actually confesses why she is a “hater”. Mary talks her through how to redeem the concept that love is actually at the heart of Valentine’s Day! They talk music, movies and much more; all getting at the idea that February 14 is what you make it and if all else fails go shopping for “BIG” rocks.

Transition, the time in the middle, on the move, or as we call it today…..”the hallway”. Hallways are great - they take you somewhere but sometimes they can also be scary places. Let’s discuss some practical ways that we can manage, and maybe even celebrate, life’s many hallways of change and opportunity.
Well friends, it's about time we took a trip to Disney and discussed, “favorite characters”! The definition of character is qualities distinctive to an individual. Let’s dig into that and see if you are more like Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck? Maybe Goofy or Pluto? It is time to find out and we sure hope you will join us!
“A reader lives a thousand lives before he dies…The man who never reads lives only one.” George RR Martin.
Books, books, and more books - we decided since everyone during lockdown has been talking about what they are reading, we would share some of our favorites. Also, we hope that you will share some of yours!

Your car won’t move without gas, you can’t get money out of an empty bank account AND you can’t help others on the airplane with their oxygen if you don’t have any yourself! Spoiler alert: The answer to the question is indeed self-care is mission critical and not selfish at all. But most of us deal with the idea that taking care of ourselves is not high on the priority list when in fact it can help accomplish everything else on the priority list. We are going to talk about a healthy, happy ME. You don’t want to miss this one, and Mary gave one tip in particular that can change your life, literally….forever. It involves, “a meeting”! Join us.
