Last week we saw how Pharaoh reject Moses's message coming from God and not just that but he increased the burden of the people of God. The Israelites got discouraged and doubtful, and in today's sermon, we will see how God dealt with them. And we will learn the great comfort and confidence we can find in the sovereignty of God and in His promises.

What are your expectations for the Christian life? Is it comfort, or having the basics for your family, or happiness, or good health? What's it that if you have it you think you would have enough? And what's your reaction when you don't get it? Sadness, frustration, anger, unbelief?

Maybe the Christianity they presented you wasn't the gospel of Christ that calls you to lose everything, to take up your cross and follow God in the midst of suffering and rejection.
