How do you put down boundaries?

"It's a process, I would say.   I teach it in the framework of mindfulness, so it's about feeling into your body.  I teach my clients to learn to decipher what their emotions are telling them.  For example, if you're feeling a lot of anger, and you are reactive with anger and frustration, then a lot of the times that's a sign that your boundaries have been crossed. You have said 'Yes' too many times, or you've taken on a project that you shouldn't have.  You want to be able to then sit with that anger.  You want to be able to create a pause through the mindfulness, where you're feeling it in your body, and just allowing it to to be heard.  And then with some techniques, like breathing, you want to come to a point where you can reflect on what that anger really means.  Rather than lashing out at staff members, for example, I know I need to sit down and have a conversation and say 'I can't do this for you at this moment?' "
