Meet Crystal: Real estate agent who wanted a second career to be able to earn income from her home in Colorado. Crystal began with zero knowledge of how to create transcripts of sworn testimony and sailed through our training at Learn to Transcribe Academy with flying colors!

She plans to maintain her real estate license and show properties part time while also working as a legal transcriptionist. The good news is that Crystal was hired almost immediately after graduation from our training and is loving her new career.

Meet May: Store displayer to legal transcriptionist. May graduated from our legal transcription training program at Learn to Transcribe Academy and was hired right away. She is currently employed creating transcripts in Microsoft Word of sworn testimony for a wonderful transcription company.

May then decided she wanted to expand her skills and is currently learning how to edit legal transcripts using MAXScribe software by Stenograph.

Being proficient in both legal transcription and ASR editing gives May an advantage for employment opportunities. We wish her the very best for a long and successful career.

Kyndra Engel is from Milwaukee, Wisconsin, and came to Learn to Transcribe Academy while working as a content creator and affiliate marketer and raising her family as a stay-at-home mom. She went on to graduate from both our Legal Transcription With Apprenticeship Opportunity training and our MAXScribe legal transcript editing training.

Kyndra says she loved both courses and especially enjoyed the live MAXScribe training, where she valued learning alongside other students and getting hands-on experience editing ASR-generated legal transcripts.

After graduation, Kyndra began contract work almost immediately as a MAXScribe editor. She also gained experience editing AI-generated transcript drafts in Microsoft Word using another company’s proprietary software, while continuing to do traditional legal transcription from audio.

Update: After this interview, Kyndra was referred to another company that partners with Learn to Transcribe Academy and was hired as an employee. She now works full time editing AI-generated legal transcripts and continues using both her transcription and transcript-editing skills.
