Especially for introverts, it's easier to stay home in our comfortable bubbles, but it is scientifically proven that humans need deep friendships and connections to enjoy better health and overall contentment.
So how do we do this? We put friendships as a priority in our lives. We push our comfort levels, while also understanding our personalities as we look for our tribe who will be there through life's up and downs.
If we don't put friendships and relationships as a priority, other things will take over, but life is better when it's shared.
We all sort of complain about having to go to work, right? But how would your life improve if you could find the value, joy, and purpose in your work?
Work is an essential part of being happy. To feel satisfaction and fulfillment by being a part of something bigger than you feeds your soul in a way that research shows is a big tool in happiness.
This episode explains how you can change your view of work, so you can find the good in what you're doing and change your lens to view work as a joy and privilege and not just something we suffer through until we retire.
I summarize the previous 7 episodes in this series to give you a quick cheat sheet on things to do and ask yourself to get your life off autopilot and start living life the way you envision. From self-awareness to creating goals rooted in your values, this episode offers you a run-down of practices you'll use for years to bless the world with your authentic self. Lift your lid and see who's inside--that's where the work begins!
There are a lot of things we can do for our mental health and wellbeing that we shy away from because they just feel too "out there" or "woo-woo," right? In this episode, I present 4 things to you that might make you roll your eyes, but these are practices that are backed by science for improving your brain and outlook in life. I give you explanations of each practice along with ideas of ways to integrate them into your life in ways that don't make you cringe. Life coaching and training our brains to be better is for everyone, and you're invited to the table.
As you set out to change and create an action plan, knowing what obstacles might get in your way is the first step to conquering them. We can start the journey with a boatload of motivation and excitement, but that might go away as people, ourselves, and our environment get in our way and crush the excitement. As usual, I encourage you to be real about the obstacles you know that are waiting for you, so you can step forward and over them.
The best way to reach a goal is to make the process become a part of you rather than something that is put ON you. When it feels forced or like something you really can't sustain, chances are you'll quit and walk away from the goal with a mouth full of bitter resentment. Set the bar low, so you don't choke on it! What's more important than having your goals come into focus is having YOU come into focus. This episode gives you practical ways and ideas to implement to start drafting a game plan to make the changes you crave in your life.
This is episode #4 (even though I accidentally say #3 in the recording) in an 8-part series about getting your life unstuck and experiencing breakthroughs, big and small. Today we talk about the power of anchoring your goals to your values to strengthen your focus, commitment, and clarity on WHY you want to reach a goal. As always, you'll get a homework assignment to do to help implement the concepts talked about in this episode to help you nail down your goals and dig deeper to figure out why you have those goals. When we do this, the success rate of reaching our goals becomes higher and the results are often longer lasting, so why not take a few minutes to think about it to set you up for success?
When we feel like we can be ourselves at work, play, and in relationships, we stop feeling stuck and instead feel empowered to make decisions that feel true to who we are. In this episode, I give you tools to help you step off the adulting conveyor belt and objectively look at your actions and thoughts to see if they are prioritizing what you say is important to you. This is episode #3 in an 8-part series to help you build small things into each day to get more out of your life today and every day, no matter where you are in life.
This is the second episode in an 8-part series to help you get unstuck and move your life forward, no matter where you are in life. This episode looks at values and how knowing what's important to you can help you build more confidence and clarity in your life.
This is the first episode in an 8-part series that takes you through life coaching techniques to uncover your purpose and potential in life. Listen to all episodes and do the accompanying homework to get your life unstuck, off autopilot and infused with more joy and contentment.
