I've talked about previously being the victim of domestic violence before. When I was going through this, there was no help; even the police did not want to become involved. Now it seems like the authorities have gone completely in the opposite direction and are now punishing the victim. Recently a case in Austin, TX has come to my attention where a husband badly beat his wife in front of their kids. He was arrested and then released he returned to his house. His wife and his son and their son were in the house. This is because his son was only 9 and had no one to take care of him besides the wife and she was not legally able to remove that child from the house because he was not her kid. When CPS arrived to investigate, they decided to remove both children from the home and decided the victim in this case needed to have supervised visitation with her 17 month old son. OK, I believe this is what people are afraid will happen if they report domestic violence. What do you think?
