Among with being the designated month for many other causes, October is domestic violence awareness month. It seems every show I've been a part of this week has talked about various aspects of domestic violence so today we will be continuing that conversation. Domestic violence is a very complicated topic. People often wonder exactly what constitutes domestic violence - if someone lashes out and hits someone once is that domestic violence? Does it take doing a violent or abusive act more than once? If so how many times? Three? Five? Years worth?
In working through my own experiences as well as helping others work through theirs it has become clear to me that at the heart of many domestic violent events is someone, or several someones, with low self-esteem. That's our topic for today's show.
As always thanks so much for listening!
