In this homily, delivered on July 19, 2026, Fr. Peter preaches on the gradual nature of our transformation in holiness. It can be easy to fall into discouragement because it seems like we keep committing the same sins or getting distracted during prayer. However, our transformation is gradual, just like the rising of bread is gradual. That is why the parable of the woman with the yeast can be a great source of encouragement. Since our transformation takes time, we never need to be discouraged, and we can dream big. We can continually open our heart to Jesus each time we fall and trust that, little by little, we will be transformed.
