Coming from a migrant worker family, Donna thought she was locked into the cycle of poverty until someone helped her to get a degree, which opened many doors and let her to finally get her Ph.D and become and inspiration for many caught in poverty.  She formed Communication Across Barriers to spread hope to people who though they had no options.  Dr. Donna is an inspirational speaker, workshop leader helping people understand  poverty and how it impacts people and what needs to happen to end it.
