“You need to understand the bare fundamentals before you move to level two. So if you don’t understand level one, even though it’s the basic of the basics, if you don’t know it at 5 a.m. when someone wakes you up randomly, you cannot go to level two, cause there will be the one time when you’ll need it and you’ll not be ready.” Jan Pavlovcik - talking about his process of learning and applying the knowledge.

In episode number 6, I talk to Jan, one of my best friends here in Dubai. We both came to Dubai on the same plane 6 years ago and we both joined Emirates airline as cabin crew. 

Jan is a full time photographer now, working for a production company here in Dubai. 

After almost 6 years of flying, Jan finally decided to quit his job at Emirates and pursue his biggest passion - photography. Jan talks about how did he become so interested into photography, and how he managed in only couple of years enter the world of professional photography.

We talk about his endless curiosity and process of learning and understanding things, and he gives some tips for aspiring and beginner photographers.
