Pivot
2 Chronicles 7:14
If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
To pivot means to turn. In the sport called netball, the action of pivoting is turning with one foot firmly on the ground while the other is helping the body to turn in another direction. So therefore, to pivot your life in faith means to be firmly standing on the foundation of faith in God, while embracing God’s directives. For example, if you are believing for marriage but the spouse you are having faith for is not the spouse God wants for you but, you sure that God wants you to get married. You must keep believing God, even amidst the disappointment, that marriage is not off the table, but not with this person you are trying so desperately to get with. So therefore, it’s time to shift direction and begin to face another direction.
