Nash and C sit down to discuss the definition of being transgender- identifying as someone other than your assigned sex at birth. We also talk about the alienation and infighting that can occur within our community and how important it is for us to come together and celebrate our differences. 

 

Always remember that you are valid and that all of our individual journeys are unique and beautiful and deserve to be celebrated.

How we both approach TSA situations and share experiences we have both had while traveling since starting our transition. Hail and Eli met when Eli (still unaware of his trans identity) moved to Sonoma County, CA, 10 months ago to work on a small farm run by Hail (who's identified as trans for five years and is several years into transitioning). Though very different personalities, they've struck an unlikely friendship farming together, and especially with Hail's coming out to Eli, which caused Eli to realize that there's a word for how he's always felt. Eli has now come out and started T, with much support and encouragement from his "fairy-trans-godbrother" Hail.

C shares their coming out process both in regards to their sexuality over the years and more recently their gender identity. Their story reminds us there is no one right way to come out and the journey is different for everyone!

Join us this week as Nash sits down with entrepreneur and fierce ally of the LGBTQ+ community, Kyle Draper. They discuss a myriad of topics, including how Kyle’s upbringing helped shape him and his views on toxic masculinity and its place in society- hint, there is no place for it.

 

They candidly discuss Kyle’s gender, sexuality, and how he identifies in both regards, as well as how him and the flawlessly fabulous Laverne Cox met and developed their relationship. He provides examples and thoughts on how one can be a better ally to LGBT folks, and offers lessons in the subtle art of ’not giving a single fuck’.
