Welcome to Transmissions From the Field. A podcast arriving now. For now. Enjoy.
What is this Hum beneath the surface? The ever so slight edge at the end of our breath before the next breath begins. What is that place?
It's the field.
It's where our life generates from. It is there, here... available to us all. We are in a journey of our life that is one of remembrance. Not development.
We're not growing into or out of anything. Like a lotus flower, we are unfurling the petals of our existence within our willingness to inhabit this place, this stillness, this ever present, and always available...now. We are asked to take the pace of society in like a breath. And let it go with the exhale.
This is not truth, not a personal truth or a collective truth. No truth at all. Just story. By fixing ourselves to this pace, we alienate ourselves from the field of remembrance, calling to us from the edge of awareness. This isn't a failure or a missed opportunity. The invitation sits there, always awaiting us to turn our attention towards her.
Our disconnect with the Earth is as much founded upon this awareness as it is. Any behavior we might assume to take on. Right. Relationship is not a moral imperative. It's a presence seeking initiation into a deeper ecological field of awareness. We are by our very nature relational beings, and the more we chart a path to the edge of our comfort, the more capable we become to live inside this awareness.
The comfort we experience is a place that walls us off from the breadth of our true being. It confines us to the flesh and bone of our body, and more consequently to the thoughts of our mind. These are the comforts that are built upon our routines. Behaviors, yes, but more so mental routines, conventions, when we broaden the self into the relational field between us.
We bring responsibility into our midst, not obligation, responsibility, the ability to respond with equanimity and presence to every moment of our lives. These aren't philosophical renderings, they're architectural truths, geometries of being
a simple practice for today. Is to sit upright, put your feet on the ground, close your eyes. Let the breath fall naturally in and out. Watch it fully be with the breath in its most natural state. Do not control, not as a command. But as a gentle nudge towards it, in and out. Once you fall into a rhythm with allowing the breath to behave on its own, begin to inhabit it.
Inhabit the breath, go with it, and watch where it goes. At the very end of the out breath. And the very end of the in-breath. Where does it go?
It is in us and between us, this is you
all love and grace. Beauty for all.
