The Cap Times recently finished a year-long investigation into alleged sexual misconduct by K-12 educators – and how administrators handle those allegations. But several school districts across the state wanted the Cap Times to pay exorbitant fees to locate the records they’d requested.
This week on “Transparency Talk”, hosts Bill Lueders and Tom Kamenick discuss the often prohibitively high location fees that records custodians are allowed to charge, and how they would change the current system to incentivize better record keeping.
