Last week, the Badger Project ran an article on the Richland County Sheriff's Office and the Richland Center Police Department, who had been charging a “clearly illegal” $25 minimum fee for records requests. But just days after the Badger Project’s reporting, both departments changed their policy, removing the $25 fee and thanking Badger Project for bringing its illegality to light.
