Carmichael is the founder of Evan Carmichael Communications Group, which specializes in coaching and social media strategy for entrepreneurs. In 2014, Carmichael was recognized by Forbes as one of the world's top 40 social marketing talents. The same year, Inc. listed Carmichael among their top "100 Great Leadership Speakers for Your Next Conference." The following year, in 2015, Inc. again recognized Carmichael, this time as one of the "25 Social Media Keynote Speakers You Need to Know." Carmichael runs evancarmichael.com, which provides advice to small-business owners, and he frequently contributes to Entrepreneur.
