It's almost a new year and Yolanda and Tiffany are thinking ahead to what 2022 might be like. While there are people out there who will be driven by the dawning of a new year and will be planning and working really hard to make life changes, there are some of us who want a quieter entry into the new year.
This episode of the podcast will review a "Top 5 ways" to head into the new year. The discussion offers a fresh, and yes, a little edgier, perspective on how we can all ease ourselves out of what has been a very difficult year into a year that has made no promises that it's going to be "The Year!"
To all of our TTCL family, we wish you the merriment and joy of the season. We also hope that you can take some moments out for yourself. Do what makes you happy!!

Of course we can evaluate the impact of our decisions on our own lives, but what about the lives of others? In this episode the hosts discuss the impact of the "checklist life" on their oldest children. They've invited in Tre, Tiffany's son, and Taylour, Yolanda's daughter, to discuss what they've learned from their mothers, both positive and negative as it relates to being so task driven.
This is a great episode of those who want children, are raising children, or whose child rearing days are behind them. How often have we thought about the choices that we've made beyond them being "good choices" based on a career move or educational attainment? What do kids really think about what adults call success? How do they define it? What will be their outlook on life as a result of the models that their parents/caregivers have shown?
Check in with Yolanda and Tiffany as they take the feedback from their first-borns.

It's Homecoming, y'all.!! Michael Jackson once asked, "Do you remember?" and Mary J. Blige said, "You remind me" and Ahmad once said, "Back in the day..." So it's clear that going back in time to reflect on and think about things that happened and the things that you did when you were younger is a big part of life. Join Yolanda and Tiffany as they use their experience at their college homecoming to reflect on and connect who they were then with who they are now. What lessons would they give to their 18 to 22 year old selves? How do you relate to the hosts' revelations? How has your life been impacted by choices that you made while a very young adult? What insight can they provide to the next wave of young, eager, ambitious men and women who will also be searching for a way to find their own contentment and happiness?

May is National Mental Health Awareness Month. As such, Yolanda and Tiffany wanted to share their own personal journeys to seeking therapy. They present and discuss several myths about counseling and provide a space for those who feel that they may need counseling or therapy, to take that first step. If you feel that you may need counseling/therapy, please check out www.nami.org or another mental health counseling site for help. Remember, YOU ARE NOT ALONE. #TrashIt
