We also get into masking and how it is a huge part of people-pleasing, and it can be so damaging to our identity The people-pleasing struggle is relatable for many people, so we thought it would be great to add some advice and tips on how to stop people-pleasing! Give yourself permission to be the MAIN character in your own story, set boundaries, break free from people-pleasing, and practice LOTS of self-care!

We share some life updates and then dive into the topic of self-esteem and how ours has been impacted in many ways. We get into what things can cause self-esteem issues and what aspects of life can be a struggle when self-esteem is low. We feel like this is a relatable struggle for many, and we wanted to offer some hope for those who currently suffer from low self-esteem or self-worth.

In this episode, Maggie & Erica discuss religious trauma and the experience of coming out with the first guest, Stephanie. Stephanie shares what it was like coming out at the stage of life she was in, and the impact it had on going to church and being a Christian. Stephanie also discusses her mental health journey and how difficult it has been to navigate. Though Stephanie received a lot of support overall, there were struggles and hardships within her relationships with family and church members. Hey listeners! We decided to release bonus episode 1.5 so that our listeners can get to know us better! We realized we did not go into our background as much in the previous episode.
