I can't tell you how many people tell me "I need to start doing yoga" or "my doctor told me to do yoga" but at the same time, what does that even mean? There is so much variety in styles of yoga from studio to studio, and many are subject to the interpretation and execution of the studio owner.
At the same time, we each walk into a studio (or plug in to online class) with our own story-- even our own trauma, both physical and emotional. As teachers we hold a great responsibility to our students to hold good boundaries and respect the human in front of us enough to practice in a way that honors their body and limitations and actually translates to them becoming more integrated.
Kathleen shares with us how her practice and studio came to be and her vision of what yoga means in a community space. I hope you will enjoy this episode as much as I did recording it!
