Gael has been to over 108 countries and counting, traveling solo with his daughter on many of them. He talks to us about his journey from escaping war as a child, to a PhD in Mathematics, to Wall Street, and now raising a young woman as a digital nomad. He shares the story of his early life of travel (02:30), being a father-daughter duo traveling the world in search of adventure (13:35), his conflicted feelings on his home country DRC (25:55), quitting Wall Street to follow his travel passion (37:30), plus a discussion on improving the travel landscape for both Africans and Black people in the diaspora (46:10).
