For many years, the Sebel hotels in Surry Hills and Kings Cross were the places to stay an Sydney. Many TV and entertainment personalities used these hotels, some almost as semi-permanent residences. Alas, the Sebel name is just a memory in Sydney, and the Sebel townhouse site is no longer a hotel. The Surry Hills hotel is now known as the Rydges Sydney Central. It is a block from Central Station, and Chris Coleman recently based himself there for a four-night stay in the harbour city.
