This weeks guest is Billie, she’s a good friend of TruTravels, having travelled with us in the past & also working as a store manager for STA travel. Her career turned on its head when the pandemic started & STA travel went into administration. She turned her situation into a positive one & created an Instagram fitness account and began her fitness journey. A year on, she’s got really 40 thousand followers and is working with some big brands.Here at TruTravels we’ve just released our brand new FitVenture travel style, which includes fitness and wellness tours in Thailand & Bali, we chat about these with Billie alongside hearing her inspiring story.

Today's guest is our very own Gemma, she's part of the TruTravels marketing team. Before she joined TruTravels, she'd been living life in the air, as an air hostess. We're chatting to her about life as as an air hostess, we ask her the big questions, like what's the rule when putting your seat back on the plane. Gemma talks about her craziest moments on flights, like the time the plane was hit by lightning, we also chat about some drunken flight times & she talks about 'bus juice'. Our guest on episode ten of the Travel Truths Podcast is Welsh adventurer and extreme athlete, Ash Dykes. We talk to Ash about his extreme challenges over the years, including his latest challenge of walking the Yangtze River (the longest river in the world to run through one country). Ash spent a whole year walking from the source of the river, to the end of the river, which spills into the East China Sea near the city of Shanghai. Ash took on all elements and nature along the way, including packs of wolves and bears. Ash has appeared on the Joe Rogan podcast & filmed a Ted Talk, we're super lucky to talk to him. It's an amazing story, we hope it inspires a few of our listeners to get out of their comfort zone and to begin their own adventure in 2021.

George is the Co-Founder of 100 tons of plastic. At the age of 18, George and his friend Ollie, set up the organisation '100 tons of plastic'. Three years down the line, the team are currently sat at just over 50 tons of plastic, halfway to their goal. They've travelled across the world picking up plastic, ran sessions with schools and they've even released an award winning documentary that was showcased by the BBC.
