  • Nick & Harry Peksa share cycling escapades that began with a 6year old's 100mile bike ride challenge

What begins with a six-year-old on a tiny bike becomes a story of grit, giggles, hedgehogs, and the kind of father-and-son magic the world needs more of.
Come travel with us a while as we ride beside Harry and Nick — across countries, mountains, and moments that change childhood forever.

From a 10-inch-wheeled bike to double-length UK crossings, this father-and-son duo have turned childhood curiosity into the most remarkable series of adventures.
This week on the podcast, I chat with Nick and his son Harry — the boy who set out to cycle 100 miles at age six, chose hedgehogs as his charity, pranked kids on mountaintops, earned a Blue Peter Gold Badge, met Bear Grylls, and decided that once across Britain wasn’t enough… he’d do it twice.
    Their story is uplifting, funny,

  • Bron's guest, Christine Madeley shares travelling solo for the first time after a big life change.

There are some conversations that stay with you long after you switch off the microphone, and my chat with Christine Madeley was one of them.
She joined me on Travel with Us a While to talk about something many of us quietly wonder about, but don’t always have the courage to do — travelling solo for the first time after a big life change.

Christine found herself single again in her 60s, after years of marriage. Rather than settling into quiet routines or staying within the familiar, she decided to do something bold — book a trip overseas, alone. “It’s a frightening thought,” she admitted with a laugh. “But I just thought — I’m doing it.”

And off she went — first to Lisbon, Portugal. There she was, jet-lagged, room not ready, sipping a cocktail while trying to remember why on earth she’d thought this was a good idea. But by the next day, with her walking shoes on and the sun shining across those tiled streets, she began to feel that delicious sense of freedom that comes when you realise — you’re managing just fine on your own.

  • Nigel Fotheringham shares his adventures by air with Bron

My guest, Nigel Fotheringham, and I grew up together in the small town of Selukwe (now Shurugwi) in Zimbabwe.

Decades later, we found ourselves chatting across the airwaves — me from my life of sailing and travel, and Nigel from the cockpit of his aircraft — sharing stories of exploration, adventure, and the joy of seeing the world from a different angle.

There’s something magical about seeing Australia from above — and few people know it better than Nigel, a pilot who’s spent years leading flying adventures through Queensland and New South Wales.

(Not to mention the many hours he has flown as a volunteer for Angel Flight)
