Teams will gather from across the state Tuesday, April 22nd, for the annual Kentucky Farm Bureau Clays for a Cause at the Jefferson Gun Club. Farm Bureau Insurance Executive Vice-President John Sparrow says they are expecting 300 people to shoot clays to raise money for four organizations.

Chad Berghoefer with Corteva says an increasing number of Kentucky farmers are raising canola this year through a program to provide more biofuels. Berghoefer talks about how the program works and the success farmers are having with the canola crop.

Kentucky Department of Agriculture Safety Director Dale Dobson says he was challenged by Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathon Shell to expand the Raising Hope Program across the state. Dobson says one way they are expanding the program is with 43 grants to FFA Chapters across the state.

Kentucky Soybean Promotion Board member Jeff King says Soy Fire Foam is providing firefighters with a safer option to use when fighting fires. King talks about the development of soy foam and the benefits the product has for landowners who have a fire.

Hutson School of Agriculture Dean Brian Parr says the first class of veterinarians could graduate from Murray State University in seven years. Parr talks about the time for the vet school and those who are helping to make it possible.
