A couple of years ago, my sister introduced me to a social media project called robs10kfriends where a guy is meeting 10,000 people one on one for an hour at a time to share their stories and inspire others to seek human connection in their daily lives. That guy is Rob Lawless, and a few weeks ago I had the privilege of being the 3400th person to be a part of Rob’s project. Due to coronavirus, Rob has taken his project virtual and is meeting with people all over the world through Zoom. As I had plans to launch this podcast in the coming weeks after speaking with Rob, I asked him if I could use our talk as an episode of the Traveling Perspectives podcast. He agreed and sent me the audio and video files from our talk. The following is Rob and I’d conversation where we cover topics like our own backgrounds and experiences, how we each started our respective projects, and what has been our biggest takeaways from hearing people’s stories.
