April 03, 2024 Season Three - Episode Seven - The Truth of the real-life Simba
On this episode of Travels by Broomstick, we investigate the fascinating true story of the namesake lion in Disney's classic The Lion King.

We visited the Pumping Station, an antique shop unique among many in Cardiff, Wales. Unknown to most, this shop once housed the supposed remains of one of cinematic history's most famous animal actors.
Simba is famous for starring opposite Elizabeth Taylor in the 1963 film Cleopatra. He was also the namesake for Disney’s beloved king of the jungle. According to the information displayed within his case, at one point, the cat also held the Guinness World Record for being the world’s largest lion.
We don't know where Simba has now disappeared to but if we find out, we will update you via the community tab so make sure you're subscribed!
