If a movie began showcasing a young girl living in Chile performing supernatural abilities such as telekinesis and clairvoyance, you would think that's what the movie would be about right? Wrong. If that said movie than began hinting at a possibility of a lesbian love affair between a young Meryl Streep and her sister-in-law Glenn Close, you'd think "okay that must be what this movie is about, right?" WRONG! IF YOU THINK THIS MOVIE IS ABOUT HOW A FILM CAN CAST ALL WHITE ACTORS AS CHILEANS AND THE PREJUDICIAL CLASS STRUCTURE OF THE TIME PERIOD.... YOU WOULD BE WRONG!!!

This movie is about the 1973 Chilean Military Coup, but only for the last 30 minutes.

After acting in a victorian age period piece where she's caught in a love triangle, Winona Ryder goes on to perform in a guilded age period piece where she is also caught in a love triangle. Winona's collaboration with Scorsese in The Age of Innocence gets her a Best Supporting Actress nomination and proves even more so the talent and skill this young actress is capable of.

The first movie into a different era for Winona Ryder also takes to a different era in the world of cinema. Grouped with acting giants like Gary Oldman, Anthony Hopkins and Keanu "John Wick" Reeves himself; Ryder strides in this 1992 gothic horror/love story between a victorian bride and Count Dracula.

From Lucas to Night On Earth, Winona Ryder blew our socks off right away. Like many actors early in their career, Winona quickly finds her stride and her confidence in her performing abilities and with each proceeding film she works on, her abilities grow even stronger. HOWEVER... unlike many actors, young and old, she is able to take a chance on the next phase of her career and take her skills into a different direction that could've proved fatal but instead proved rewarding. The boys look back on Winona's amazing start as an actor and talk about the future of what's to come.

This movie explores those moments where a short encounter with a stranger showcases the various passive lives people do in their day to day. Sound boring? Well watch it at 2 o'clock in the morning and you'll think otherwise.

This movie "almost" hit many points for us, but sadly lacks any conviction in its themes.

We've seen movies like Elvis, Judy, Whiplash, Amadeus, and many others that explores an iconic artist who went through troubled times but left a legacy that will stand the test of time. This movie would like to be in that club, however what you will find is an exploration of a deplorable man who thought coercing and marrying his 13-year-old first cousin was a perfectly fine thing to do; but hey he wrote some pretty great songs, am I right!?
