In our 20th episode of the TRAXERO On-The-Go Podcast, we were honored to welcome Steven Weil, Jr., VP of Weil Wrecker Service and his wife Anne Weil, Chief Compliance Officer. Since their business opened in 1977, they have gained the respect of their community by taking towing to an elevated level and for their unique auction setup in a converted school bus, raising the stakes for how to run a professional operation. In this episode, we were excited to welcome Hannah Butcher, Business Development Lead for Road Runner Wrecker Service. She is also associated with its two sister companies, Henry’s Wrecker Service and Windsor Towing where, as she puts it, “It’s cool to look under the hood of another company and see how they work.” Hannah has grown up in the towing business and started working for Road Runner at the early age of 14 and caught the entrepreneurial bug. Daly, Owner of P.J.’s Towing in Lansing, MI, who told us the incredible story of how his 2020 Kenworth T880, 1150 rotator was stolen right out of his bay in the middle of one late-summer night in 2023. P.J. takes us through the timeline of exactly what happened the night of the theft, how the tow truck community came together to help him with the search, and ultimately where the stolen truck ended up after one week’s time.
