The Hispaniola has finally reached Treasure Island, and the crew members are so anxious to go find the gold that they are belligerent and refuse to do anything they are ordered. Long John Silver leads a shore party with the intent to convince the men to be patient just a little longer. Jim also goes to the island and once again overhears and witnesses dreadful things! After what he has seen and heard, Jim is afraid to go back to the ship, until he meets a long-marooned sailor who may be able to help him.
