Jim and Israel Hands reach an uneasy truce as they work together to maneuver the ship into a safe harbor. But then Jim discovers that the deceitful Hands has a plan to do away with him! But the schemes of the despicable pirate go astray when he throws a knife at Jim. Eventually Jim leaves the grounded ship and sneaks through the darkening island to find his friends. He carefully climbs into the stockade and realizes that he has gone from one tense situation into something even worse!
