Now that we are almost halfway through the Gospel of Mark, it is amazing to see how much more of Jesus there is still to comprehend. As Mark 7:37 states, "He has done all things well." God calls us to be a people faithful to gospel doctrine and gospel culture. One without the other leaves us in either the ditch of hypocrisy or fragility. The power of God demonstrates itself in right belief and transformed living. Luke 18 takes us to what fuels gospel culture. In a word, it is humility. Humility fuels gospel culture by allowing us to have a right view of ourselves and of God.
