This week we begin a short series on prayer. Jesus' disciples come to Him and ask for guidance on prayer. May God help our church to begin to look to Jesus for guidance on how we can pray rightly.

This Sunday we will have the privilege of hearing Chris Anderson share from God's Word. Chris was formerly the senior pastor at Killian Hill Baptist Church and is currently serving on the executive team at Biblical Ministries Worldwide. 

This Sunday we will explore another key text that gives insight on living our Christian life. Colossians 3:1-17 reminds us of our identity in Jesus Christ and the subsequent response to this glorious position as children of God.

This week we will investigate one of the most famous passages in the Bible. In Romans 12:1-2, Paul calls believers to be living sacrifices.  On account of God's mercy to us, we must present our lives to God. 

This Sunday we will continue our Core Values Series by examining Faithful Stewardship.  When stewardship is mentioned, our minds gravitate to how we use our money, but stewardship is much more than that. It involves every aspect of our lives because nothing we have, nothing we have accomplished or dream of doing is possible apart from God's gracious, overflowing generosity towards us. To prepare for this Sunday, we recommend reading 2 Corinthians 8.

Our core value of faithful stewardship states that we generously invest our God-given resources to further His eternal purposes. But why would we live that way? What would motivate us to that kind of life? What promises of God would even spur us on to sacrificial generosity? Take some time to read through Philippians 4:14-20 in preparation for our study together this Sunday.

It's trendy to speak of finding contentment through minimalistic living, simplifying, and decluttering, but what does the Bible reveal to be the secret of true contentment? This Sunday we will return to our study of Philippians and consider verses 4:10-13.

Our minds are often dominated by a relentless stream of information, but followers of Jesus cannot allow our thoughts to be held captive by this world. If God's peace is going to guard us, we must intentionally set our minds on the things of God. Meditate on Philippians 4:8-9 as you prepare for our gathering Sunday.
