Join me in this episode as I discuss core beliefs. There are positive as well as negative core beliefs. "I am competent at my job" is a core belief. But it's usually the negative core beliefs that give us the most trouble after trauma. "I will always be alone," "I am unlovable," "Bad things always happen to me," "It was my fault it happened." These core beliefs are often rigid and enduring - meaning they don't change easily. But, there is hope, because even if they don't change easily they DO change if we know how. I break down the three most important aspects to creating new adaptive core beliefs so that we can create more meaning and enjoyment from our relationships.
