You first have to love yourself. 

When you love yourself you increase your self-esteem, you accept who you are exactly where you are.

From that you get self-care. Self care is the action demonstrating how you love yourself. 

Don't get confused with self-care. Self-care can mean many different things to different people.

A massage, a manicure or even an oil change. Anything that you do to ease the stress and chaos in your life is self-care.

Complements and criticisms are both very hard to accept.

I think that at a very young age women learn to minimize their complements and exacerbate their criticisms.

Even some of the most powerful and talented women struggle with these two words.

It's time we unlearn those behaviors and leverage the compliments and criticisms to work in our favor.

People are going to be happy with your choices.

People are going to be mad about your decisions.

Do what you need to do for yourself anyway.

You are the longest relationship you will ever be in.

Make sure you are making decisions based on that fact.

Yes, we have family, children, partners, friends, and other relationships. But the truth is at any moment, those relationships could end.

The fact that you are considerate of other and have their feelings on your heart says that you are a good person.

AAUW's advocacy efforts have propelled countless new laws, including the Equal Pay Act, first proposed in 1945 and finally passed in 1963; the Title IX amendment in 1972; the Family and Medical Leave Act in 1993; the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act in 2009; and the Paycheck Fairness Act, which was passed by the U.S. Representatives in 2019 but is awaiting action in the Senate.

Managed over $1B in capital deployment, P&L, and achieved deep market penetration and eightfold revenue growth from $50M to $400M. 

Directed business in over twenty (20) countries in the Americas Region building regional teams and establishing centers of excellence that generated significant value creation. Launched the operations of six Fortune 1000 corporate subsidiaries in a span of twenty years and led six bi-cultural/bi-lingual top-performing executive teams who managed over 200 multi-national corporate accounts and generated hundreds of millions of dollars in revenue.

Achieved first-mover advantage in Canada, Jamaica and Mexico with two consumer-based early-stage companies. First to market in the deployment of a state of the art mobile payment platform in Mexico and Jamaica serving over 5000 consumers and fiber to the home/rural telephony in Canada serving over 10 municipalities and 6000 residential customers with capital investments over $400M.
