Nehemiah and Ezra get the people back on track with their first celebration, the Feast of Tabernacles.  Nehemiah 7:66-73; 11:1-36; 12:1-26; 8:1-18; 9:1-15

The wall around Jerusalem gets completed under Nehemiah and he continues to govern fairly, but not without enemies.  Nehemiah 5:1-19; 6:1-19; 7:1-65

Nehemiah goes back to Jerusalem and implements a smart and successful strategy to rebuild the walls, with big implications for us! Nehemiah 2:4-16,17-20;3:1-16,17-32; 4:1-6,7-23 

Ezra works to cleanup the issue in Jerusalem of pagan wives.  Fourteen years later, back in Persia, Nehemiah hears that things are still not going well.  Ezra 7:8-10; 8:33-36; 9:1-15; 10:1-17,18-44;Nehemiah 1:1-11; 2:1-4

Malachi speaks of the Day of the Lord and the Book of Remembrance.  Ezra gathers resources to return to Jerusalem and get the Temple going.  Malachi 3:6-15,16-18;4:1-6; Ezra 7:1-28;8:1-32; Luke 11:37-42, haaretz.com 

Through the prophet Malachi, God expresses His disappointment at Judah's lackluster worship and has a few lessons for us as well.  Malachi 1:1-14; 2:1-9, 10-16,17; 3:1-5

Esther, Mordecai, and the Jewish people get the victory over their enemies in Persia with God's help.   Esther 8:1-17; 9:1-17, 18-32; 10:1-3

Mordecai and Esther respond to Haman's irreversible decree to annihilate the Jews in Persia.  God's intervention is evident.  Esther 4:4-17; 5:1-14; 6:1-14; 7:1--10

Esther's story continues.  She is chosen by the king, and we meet Haman, enemy of the Jews.  Esther 2:1-10, 11-18, 19-23; 3:1-6,7-15; 4:1-3

Zechariah ends his ministry with an exciting prophecy about the End Times' Day of the Lord and we begin the Book of Esther.  Zechariah 14:1-11, 12-21; Esther 1:1-22
