Jesus uses parables to stress the importance of responding to His invitation to be part of God's Kingdom.  It's not something that should be put off! Have you responded? Luke 13:22-30, 31-35; 14:1-14, 15-33, 34-35; 15:1-7

Today, we hear about the Good Samaritan, Mary and Martha, and the continued harassment of Jesus as He nears the time of the Cross.  Luke 10:25-37, 38-42; 11:1-4,5-13; John 10:22-42; Psalm 82:1-8

Jesus continues to preach and heal while setting His course firmly on His fast-approaching trip to Jerusalem for the purpose of the Cross.  Matthew 19:1-2; 10:1; 11:20-24, 25-30; Luke 9:51-56; 10:1-16, 17-24; 17:11-19

Jesus heals a man born blind and it sets off a fire storm among the Sanhedrin hecklers.  Jesus continues to give big hints about His coming death and resurrection. John 9:1-12, 13-34, 35-41; 10:1-10,11-21

Today, we look at John 8 where Jesus discusses His Father versus the Jewish leaders' father, and we reflect on Jesus' statement that He is the Light of the world. John 8:12-20, 21-30, 31-36, 39-47, 48-59.

The Pharisees get more confused and indignant as Jesus slips into Jerusalem to teach in the Temple during the Feast of Tabernacles.  John 7:25-36, 37-44, 45-53; 8: 2-11; Zephaniah 14:16-18

Jesus teaches on getting along with our brothers, power and authority available to Christians, and forgiveness.  Mark 9:30-41; Luke 9:49-50; Matthew 18:15-35; John 7:1-24

Jesus exhorts His disciples and us to exhibit more faith, at least faith the size of a mustard seed and nothing will be impossible!  Matthew 17:14-27; 18:1-14; Mark 9:14-29,33-49; Luke 17:1-10; 9:37-43, 46-48

Turning point: Jesus tells His disciples about His impending death and resurrection.  He even lets them in on His transfiguration.  Mark 8:22-26, 27-30, 31-38; 9:2-13; Matthew 16:13-20, 21-28; 17:1-13; Luke 9:18-20,21-27,28-36
