Hey G&Gs,

In EP 010 I get into some of the problems I was having at the time with learning Solidity and the online courses I was using. I'll have the links below. So it was during the whole Crypto Kitties thing and I didn't know it took that long to sync with the Ethereum blockchain. Listen to hear my workaround at the time.

I also give some tips on how to study when using videos. Helpfully, I help some out there avoid the headaches I went through, lol.

Now getting into my guest. Luke Batemen is someone I met because of advising the same project. For the first couple of months, I only heard his name. But once we had the chance to talk directly about the project, I know he had to be on the podcast. Listen for your self and see what I'm talking about.

Well, G&Gs this isn't technically EP 10 but I'm logging it as that. I sure didn't see thing going in this direction but I'm glad for the experience.

Here we are luckly number 13, lol. The irony in relation to what I talk about in the first segment of the show lollygagging and procrastination. I do believe that the universe has its own timing. And sometimes L n P is just you working out in your spirit or mind a situation. No this isn't spiritual talk, not my cup of tea. However, at that time I was facing the reality of my shortcomings and reading was one of them. That doesn't mean you can learn, you just have to find other ways to get the information.

In the second segment, I talk with my boy Douglas 3D. I don't remember how we met on twitter but we been kool since. He knows his cryptos for sure. I'm glad I have someone like him to chop up crypto stuff with. As you listen to what he says, realize he is talking from first-hand experience. So if you take the time to look at his site, it's all stuff that he uses. Even if you don't, hope you still learned something G&Gs.

Hey G&Gs,

So I'm really in the double digits for episodes now. Oh Yeah!!! Who would've thought people would keep agreeing to talk with me, lol.

In the first segment, I'm talking about dealing with the reality of leaving my job at the time. I was all about jumping two feet head first. It's funny how life works out. We never know what we're capable of until we have to perform. That was a life lesson moment for me. I hope you learn from my mistakes G&Gs, seriously.

So this EP I talk about a Crypto Meetup I went that never happen. But I was able to meet some else in the Bmore crypto community.

So for this EP I start off talking about the reality of looking for work. It was definitely not what I was expecting, mainly because I wasn't where I thought I'd be with learning Solidity. And dipping into the HODL bag wasn't working to anymore. Yeap, the reality of looking to live in the crypto space.

My guest for this EP is Karima William. The interview is a little dated from earlier in 2018. She is the host for multiple crypto and blockchain centered Meetups in DC. And is now holds the title of Community Builder at ConsenSys's DC office and is doing bigger things in DC.

Krima is the perfect example of what I'm trying to get people to understand out blockchain technology. You don't have to be really smart as a rocket scientist or have money like Bill Gates. For mass adoption to happen it will take all types of people from various walks of life. She is doing here part to help educate and empower those interested in learning about blockchain technology.

This ep is a shorty. Its a few seconds short of 31 mins, lol. For the Daily Talk, I get into looking at Udemy to learn Solidity and what I was starting to understand how smart contracts are created.

For the interview, I went to a Meetup at Maker Space. I spoke with Patrick McGuire. He's one of the most laid-back white hatters I know. We talk about mining, scaling, and just being able to tinker with technology.

This ep is the full recording from my Daily Talk. I go into what I was noticing at the time. Back then I was really just looking at the space from the dev's side. A lot of the the ICOs that came out at that time were just Whitepapers filled with ideas but no tech behind them.

The more daunting thing was dealing with self doubt and the people who had good intentions but didn't think it was a smart thing for me to do. Thank goodness for the ones who did believe in me. Some of them will never know how much I appreciate them.

They say if you want something bad enough, all you have to do is work hard for it. I don't believe that statement to be 100% true. I do think hard work plays a major part. But I believe the other part is having the right people around to support your endeavor.

The support comes in different ways. Some one will tell others about what your doing. There my be a day when you need a "cup of sugar". Or just to have someone say keep it pushing and they believe in you. It's sounds silly but when your going through it. It makes a world of difference.

For this Daily Talk I get it looking for a job in the crypto space. There was a job I found on a job site. I figured why not try to apply for it.

There is no question, the job market in the space has grown a great deal since then. More traditional job roles are appearing on job sites. This is what I'm trying to get people to see. The change is slowly creeping in, like fog on a lake. We even see conventional businesses like Fidelity publicly admit they are working with cryptocurrencies. This year may not have moved like some would've liked in terms of mass adoption and usable products and services. But there has been some change. Even the baby steps count.

For the interview, I had a great time talking with Nanu Berks. A crypto creative artist based in Texas. We get into her growing in Argentina and living through economic collapse, how traditional education system didn't work for her and overcoming it, and how she traveled as a nomad around the world.

I was definitely moved by her story and I know you can hear it in the interview. I hope that this ep inspires you to take that first step in getting out there and taking the chance to learn what cryptocurrency and blockchain technology is really all about.

This isn't just about lambos and making money. It's about inclusion and helping to build communities while changing peoples lives for the better.

So for this ep I cut the Daily Talk in half. I'll have a ep with the full recording. In short the first segment was about what I was noticing when I told people what I was looking to do. As well as just how I was preparing to cross over. Remember the point of TC2C is to show you what it's really like living in this space. Forget what you see people posting on IG, FB, and Twitter. It ain't all that glam.

Hopefully, some of what I said made sense to someone out there. The space is a lot bigger and more mature that when I got in. But there is still a ways to go when it comes to convience and the tehcnology being integrated into everyday life.

On the second half I got to speak with the man who first let me talk about the cryptos space on stage, Nathan Hauk. He is one of the most direct and knowledgeable people I know in the space.

Hopefully you heard something that made you think. Remember what I say if your talking about real mass adoption. Its going to take all types of folks from different walks of like. This isn't just about making money and lambos. The next ep will be the whole "What I've Noticed" rant, lol.

For this ep I didn't add the interview. I got into what I was using and why. Please remember this was when the main goal was to become a smart contract dev.

Since then I've adjusted the focus. I do still want to learn that and do still work on building that skill. But since then I've learned it's not a simple 1, 2, 3 thing. Since I went longer than expected I didn't see the point of adding the second segment to this one.
