We're back!! And we're officially a multi-decade running podcast! HA. Of course the bushfires have ravaged Australia over the past few weeks and months, but today we're wondering if celebrities and businesses are expected to donate? And perhaps more intriguingly, should they have to publicise their donations?

Meghan Markle and her husband also made somewhat of a shock announcement, stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family. So we're wondering why Meghan has been the brunt of so much criticism, and honestly why people are still so invested in the monarchy.

We wrap things up by chatting all things New Year's Resolutions. Ah yes, the promises and goals we love to hate. But are they worthwhile? Are the effective? And what are our own goals for this oh-so-marketable year that is 2020?

It's our last episode of the year! So to celebrate, we both name our big Mad Ting of the year on a personal note. We also look back on all the big political news of 2019, and we're wondering if being in our own political bubble is ultimately a bad thing?

We also look at one of the biggest, and most controversial sagas of the year; the Israel Folau debate. Who was in the wrong? Is free speech really a thing these days? And what should the consequences be amidst all the fallout?

Of course, we couldn't finish on a sour note though, so we wrap up the ep by picking our best three albums of the decade! Yep, that's 2010 to 2019 and it's an impossible choice, but we gave it a crack (with some BIG bolters in there!).

The wonderful Amila Perera steps in as guest host this week for Scott, and boy everyone's (perhaps previously) favourite, Justin Timberlake has been in a whole pool full of water recently. It's after the music star - and married man - was spotted holding hands with a co-star on the set of his new film. So we're asking what exactly are the rules of intimacy? And are we right to judge?

There's also some sad news out of the otherwise overly popular Disney remake, Aladdin. Mena Massoud, who played the title character, says he hasn't been able to get an audition post Aladdin - despite the film making over 1 billion at the box office. So we're wondering if success perception is a thing, and what exactly success looks like to different people.

Spotify Wrapped's have also been flooding our socials, so we decided to have a old fashioned shoot out - where we guess each other's most played artists of 2019. With a very, potentially, consequential outcome for the loser.

Taylor Swift is officially all the rage.. for multiple reasons. Her ugly feud with Scooter Braun and Big Machine over her music rights even went as far as her AMAs performance. But with Braun's family now getting constant death threats from Taylor's fans, was she right to rally her droves online to get action? And who was in the wrong ultimately? 

We're also in awe of Sacha Baren Cohen's keynote at the Anti-Defamation League conference on hate speech and social media. He reckons Hitler could have bought an ad on Facebook these days, and called on wider social media to be more responsible for the content their users create. So we're wondering if social media, particularly Zucks and FB, should be regulated further when it comes to #FakeNews.

The ARIA Awards are also this week (does anyone care?) Probs not, so to spice it up we've chucked a friendly wager on who can guess the most correct award winners from the night..
