With so much anticipation for Star Wars Celebration, we almost forgot that there is other nerd related media out there to talk about! Following in the footsteps of WandaVision, Loki, and Spider-Man: No Way Home, Marvel has released their next adventure in the Phase 4 multiversal saga: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness! Was this another success for the MCU? There are definitely things that we need to discuss about this movie, and who better to discuss these things with than with the marvelous-unofficial-fourth-member-of-the-Triad Josie Meléndez! We discuss everything from all those amazing cameos, to whether this multiverse is really as mad as the title suggest. Originally we were only going to talk about Moon Knight... however... THAT trailer dropped! Finally, after waiting what like seemed forever, the Thor: Love and Thunder trailer has dropped! From the looks of it, Taika Waititi seems to be delivering another scrumptious film filled with humor, excitement, visual splendor, and most importantly: lots of heart. Also... did you see Natalie Portman's guns?! Looks like the line to be crushed by them is very long and we'll patiently wait.

Once we're done singing our praises to that Thor trailer, we move on to our originally intended topic: Moon Knight! Today we focus on episodes two and three (Summon the Suit and The Friendly Type respectively). Get ready, there are dissenting opinions on this one! One thing is for certain, this show is GORGEOUS. The visuals are incredible, and with the introduction of the Ennead and other Egyptian gods we're starting to get in weird territory and we love it! We're at the halfway point of the show, or as we call it, the Spider-Man 2 point, where the hero is at his lowest and has lost his powers... the most interesting part! Join us on our discussion of the show so far and some probably incorrect speculation on what is to come!

After last week's surprising news that we've been selected to appear on the Podcast Stage at Star Wars Celebration, we're still riding the high! As such we can't help but wonder what other surprises this convention holds for us. Before we do that however, ANOTHER lightsaber has arrived! This time it's the Force FX Elite DARKSABER! It is a thing of undeniable beauty and we take a small detour to do a quick review of this toy... ermm... collectible, which has joined the ranks of other such... collectibles.

Once that's wrapped up we jump into SWC and speculate on all the panels that have been announced thus far, from the The Bad Batch season 2 panel to the Disney+ show panel featuring updates on Andor and Kenobi, we look at what we know so far and what we expect so see, from trailers to sizzle reels and full episodes! That interestingly titled Mando+ panel also looks interesting and we discuss what that naming choice means for that and upcoming media. We also dive a bit into wishful thinking and things we'd WANT and HOPE to see at the convention! Join us as we speculate and probably get everything wrong!

It's been a busy couple of weeks, between work and Law School sometimes we fall behind on catching up on the media we love. Today we're back, and we're so thrilled about everything we have to talk about! We're not into "unboxing" content, but after Gus finally caved and bought the Rey Skywalker FX Elite Lightsaber, we just had to show it off and gush about it a bit! From the weight, to it's girth... this item is truly worthy of anyone's collection. We also have a special announcement regarding STAR WARS CELEBRATION! We're truly excited about the news we have to share with you!

As we've mentioned before, we talk about 'other nerd related media' and today we're so very excited to talk about the newest MCU show: MOON KNIGHT! We've been looking forward to this one as it stars Star Wars veteran and official Space Papi, Oscar Isaac! This is a comic book hero we have no familiarity so we came into this show as a clean slate. What did we think about it? We had some varying reactions so make sure to tune in and check out our review!

While Star Wars Rebels showed us the war with the Empire from the perspective of the Ghost crew, it also did something peculiar that not many pieces of media do: make "beasts" sympathetic. More often that not, media usually portrays 'scary' animals as 'beasts', antagonists in the way of our heroes who must be vanquished without a second's thought. Rebels, however, strayed away from this convention. Ezra had an almost innate ability to both empathize and connect with many of the creatures shown in Rebels. Be it from Loth-cats to Fyrnocks, from Krykna to Loth-wolves and Purrgil, Ezra showed us how creatures aren't just beings to be defeated or feared, but the same members of the Living Force that are connected to all of us. These 'beasts' are just mere shadows of the darkness within all of us, that through patience in the Force can be brought into balance and through understanding gain wisdom.
