Paul’s fellow Israelites are determined to kill him; he’s arrested by the Romans and languishes in jail while they try to work out what to do with him in trial after trial. But all the while, he’s single mindedly focusing on his goal – because he’s convinced of the Resurrection of Jesus, he’s proclaiming and promoting his Lordship to all kinds of people, all the way to Caesar himself. Perhaps there are lessons for how we use our own hard times today?
