Trickling up my spine

Listen Later

Trickling up my spine

Time for buds and blossoms to sprout, sheathings drop, and

beautiful colors pop out

It’s a wonderful time to be alive yeah it feels so wonderful

to go outside walking about

Still the crazy fears cloud my sunshine, obfuscate the landscape

I thought was looking fine

Despite the glow and warmth from up above, there’s a bad

feeling trickling up my spine

Highways crowded, orange barrels dot the horizon, mind

wanders somewhere I can’t keep my eyes on

Keys on the table, feet up TV on, despite the sitcom with

canned laughter the lonely man cries on

Sees the memories of the days they were flyin’; multi-colored

kites adorn the sky what a sick design

Though it looks serene, smiles across our faces, still

there’s something trickling up my spine

Every time it seems the last corner’s been turned, the

bridge we need to get back home has burned

Damn babe but don’t it seem the harder we try to get it

going right, the more we get spurned

Tired of what they’re selling us, time we quit buyin’, stand

up and take control, we’re all done cryin’

Need you here right by my side, baby snuggle up close and

let me feel you trickling up my spine

Trickling up my spine

Wouldn’t that be fine

Trickling up my spine
