September 20th 2015 - Pastor Josh Guajardo - Colossians 3:1-4 - This sermon will have a lot to say about "identity." This is facing us in our culture today and these passages clearly state that our identity is bound up with Christ and who we are in him. Themes for this could be our new birth, Spirit filled life, and Christ being our all in all.

September 13 2015 - Pastor Josh Guajardo - Colossians 2:13-15 - What people generally see in the cross of Christ (suffering, pain, death)is all absolutely true, but there is a deeper level of truth here. The deeper truth is that on the Cross, Christ dealt a decisive blow to Satan and sin. He "Disarmed the rulers and authorities and disgraced them publicly." The Via Dolorosa, when viewed this way, is actually a victory parade...and that is actually a word Paul uses here in verse 15 a "triumph" which was a Roman victory march back in Rome.

August 30 2015 - Pastor Josh Guajardo - Colossians 1:27-28 - In a very real way, we are supposed to be Christ's presence in eachother's lives just as Paul "rejoiced in his sufferings" on behalf of the Colossian Church by being their servant. We are to help eachother reveal Christ's mystery in us...his hope of glory. This includes lasting faith so that all Christians may be presented before Christ as mature Christians.
