Have you ever wondered why God’s purposes include this thing called “the church?” Maybe you have thought of the church as a necessary inconvenience, or as something that has let you down, or even as something worse.
While many of us have experienced good news through the church, some of us have experienced some not-so-good-news too. The church can be a challenging place. But despite those realities and experiences, God has placed significance on this thing called “the church.” Jesus cares deeply for the church. And because of this significance, we can be encouraged for the church despite its earthly flaws.
In this fall series, The Significance of the Church, we will be spending 11 weeks in what has been called, “The Pastoral Letters,” the collection of New Testament letters of 1and 2 Timothy and Titus. We will consider the significance, structure, and character of the church, looking at how the Bible describes the church and calls us to live out this significance to God’s glory, our good, and to the salvation of those who are far from God.
Come and be encouraged and equipped to embrace all that God has for us in the church and to see why the church matters in our lives and world today.
