Have you ever considered the Bible’s description of what the world will be like just before Jesus returns? There is one thing that is true of all of us…We have all failed. Fortunately, our failures are often not widely known. The disciples of Jesus were not quite as fortunate. In this sermon we learn some valuable truths from a humbling failure on the part of Jesus’ followers that ultimately points us to the fact that there is only One that has never failed!

This is a sample lesson I was asked to post from a future series from the book of Acts. This study has challenged us to the very core of what it means to be a Christian. I’m looking forward to putting this series together to show how far modern American Christianity has strayed from Biblical Sprit-filled Christianity.

We all get down some times. I know I’ve sure been there. How do we rise back up when we are feeling the pressures of life pushing us down? Our Faith, Christ’s Forgiveness, and an unrelenting focus on our purpose in this life are key to our endurance.

We have the honor and privilege of serving the most wonderful King. King Jesus came to accomplish what no one else could, and He did it because He loves you!

With our schedules already so full, is it possible to ramp up our productivity for Christ without burning ourselves out with added programs and features? I believe the answer is “Yes!” The secret to being productive for Jesus is not always more time. Sometimes the answer is less sin! That’s right. Sin is stealing away our ability to accomplish what God wants. It’s time to stop what we are doing, grab the shovel of God’s Word, and scrape sin out of our lives. Only then can we be as productive as God wants us to be.

Can you imagine what it must have been like to be one of those shepherds on that cool clear night? The silence of heaven was suddenly shattered by the biggest announcement EVER. In this episode, we study the Angel’s announcement to the shepherds to reveal that the long awaited Christ-child was about to change EVERYTHING!

Some of the greatest Christians to ever live were those who were willing to sacrifice there position in order to fulfill their God-given purpose. In this sermon, we look to use the example of Nehemiah to show us the kind of heart it takes to be a living sacrifice for the cause of Christ.

Satan has worked very hard to keep these two separated, for he knows that when you combine the Truth of God’s Word with the Love of Christ, it is a powerful combination that God can use to unlock even the hardest hearts.

Why is it that Christians often seem to be some of the most miserable people on earth? Could it be that they have removed themselves from the only eternal source of Joy? There is nothing greater than serving King Jesus and its about time we start acting like it!
