Traditions are not inherently bad or good. When they get in the way of God’s word, they become problems. Jesus teaches that doing religious activities on the outside does not mean a person is right on the inside. There are several things churches pretend are biblical: music style, dress codes, service times, bible translations, denominations (to name a few). Whatever traditions we hold dear, we must understand that we do not get into heaven by following the rules or subscribing to a set of beliefs. We get to heaven by having a right relationship with God through Jesus.
