Everywhere we look this season, we're reminded that Christmas is a big deal. We have trees in our houses, parties at work, lights up and down the streets, and even special cups at Starbucks. Some of us bask in the warmth of the Christmas spirit, others scoff with cynicism, and some of us fight against darkness and despair. This season, we are going to wade through the frantic activity of the season to reach the foundational beauty of Christmas: the Incarnation of Jesus. The eternal Son of God is born into our world as a baby. We want to recover a sense of wonder, deconstructing the clutter of Christmas to reveal good news that brings great joy.
