One challenge of prayer is that no one has to see it happen. In a results oriented world, it can be easy to leave that off of our busy schedules, because what impact does that make anyway? Who knows if I prayed or not? Scripture reminds us that although we might prayer privately the impact of our prayers can completely change circumstances.

It’s easy to celebrate on Easter, but then it’s Monday. After the ham is eaten, and the Easter eggs are colored and eaten, life moves on. The bible says Jesus offers us new life, but do you feel like new? What did it all really mean for us today? We will hear the Promises that God leaves for us today in a story from 2,000 years ago.

You can feel the parade coming through town, the celebration is over the top, who is it coming into town? Then you see an unassuming man riding a donkey, with a bunch of rag-take groupies. And you are only seeing a small part of what is unfolding.

It is a gift to be part of the body of Christ, but like many things in our lives, it can be easy to quickly take for granted. We want to be a body who take seriously the statement, "I will treasure the body." It is easy to see the imperfections and struggles in any group of people, but we will choose to be thankful for the community of believes we are a part of at Trinity.

The challenge of being part of community is that we are all different. Those differences can lead to conflict. We in an iGeneration, where we are taught that the world is about meeting your preferences and desires. But scripture does not paint a picture of the church being a product that is meant to be customized to each person's desires.

We start our anatomy of the body of Christ with the head, what does this body of Christ concept mean? Corinthians lays out a picture of humility, where all the parts of the body are co-dependent on one another, and most of all on Jesus himself.

March 16- Radical Obedience- John 13:31-35, 1 Corinthians 13:4-7 “Disciples Love”

It sounds simple but to be a disciples means to reflect God’s love to others. Like many other words it can carry a variety of meanings, but we are going to look at a very specific understanding of what love looks like in John 13 and 1 Corinthians 13.

We are concluding our series on discipleship with perhaps 5the simplest6 to say, but hardest part to do: radical obedience. Jesus calls for us to follow Him, to follow His commands. Sounds simple, but what are the practical implications of this call for radical obedience?

Sometimes it is easier to see something than to just hear about it. In Mark 2 we see what authentic community looks like, as a group of friends go above and beyond to get their friend to the one person who can help them, Jesus.

We are created to live in community with one another. Part of being disciples is being part of a community of grace and truth, of walking with other with tremendous grace, and brutal honesty.
