Of all the choices with which we are faced, there is none as important as to how we will respond to our Creator. When we sort through the implications of our choices, be they major or minor, how does a relationship with Jesus Christ figure into the equation? There is perhaps no greater choice facing us each and every day of our life than this choice.

Prayer makes life good. It is normal and necessary. We know in our hearts that there is a God and therefore not to pray (be in constant communication with Him), is totally unrealistic and out of the question for a Christian. It is like living in a house with someone and pretending to be alone.

The wisdom of God as taught to us by Jesus calls us to citizenship in a different Kingdom, a Kingdom where things are upside-down, where the last are first, where foolishness is wisdom, where the poor are rich, the dead alive.

It is perhaps the Christian’s greatest fear. What is it?... personal evangelism, sharing one’s faith with another person. After all, I may not know what to say. They might ask me a question I cannot answer. I might fail. I am not gifted in evangelism. In today’s passage we find there is hope for all of us bashful evangelists!
