Salvation is By Christ Alone - Solus Christus

1. There is No Other Message to be Preached But Christ Crucified

1 Corinthians 1 :20-24

20 Where is the one who is wise? Where is the scribe? Where is the debater of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world?21 For since, in the wisdom of God, the world did not know God through wisdom, it pleased God through the folly of what we preach to save those who believe.22 For Jews demand signs and Greeks seek wisdom,23 but we preach Christ crucified, a stumbling block to Jews and folly to Gentiles,24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God.

1 Corinthians 2:1-2

1 And I, when I came to you, brothers, did not come proclaiming to you the testimony of God with lofty speech or wisdom. 2 For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

2.  There is No Other Name By Which Men Ought to be Saved

Acts 4:12

12 And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.”

Grace Alone - Sola Gratia

Ephesians 2:5-9

John 11:25-27; 25 Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, 26 and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27 She said to him, “Yes, Lord; I believe that you are the Christ, the Son of God, who is coming into the world.” 

1. Jesus Is The Resurrection And The Life, (Verse 25).

2. There Is Life For Those Who Believe In Him, (Verses 25 & 26).

3. Do You Believe This? (Verses 26 & 27).

Matthew 1:21; 21 She will bear a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”

1. Jesus has His people

"...for He will save His people from their sins.”

Jesus has His sheep, everyone is not His sheep.

Jesus has His people, not every one is His. He comes to save those that are His, He comes to redeem those that belong to Him.

2. Jesus cares for His people

"...for He will save His people from their sins.”

He will save them, He must save them, He will accomplish redemption for them,

The implication here is that those who go to hell are not His because those that are His, He must save them, He will save them, He will do it.

And He cannot be defeated, can He? He cannot loose, can He?

3. Jesus deals with His people's greatest enemy

What did Jesus save you from? Accident? Hunger? Poverty? Sickness?

"...for He will save His people from their sins.”

Jesus saves His people from their greatest enemy. No one is able to stand against sin, no one is able to fight with it. The separation that is there between man and God can only be removed by Jesus Christ.
